PEACE

PEACE is located near Leimert Park Village. The business owner of this wall wanted a more possitive message for the community. This wall is also located near the boundary line of two gangs where there has always been violance. The message of peace came about by knowing the history of the neighborhood. The area of Leimert Park resonates the message of peace and unity amongst the African-American community and this mural welcomes those driving down west on Vernon and stays within the vision of Leimert Park's mission.

There is a testimony of a man, who prior to this mural was shot in front of this wasll and survived. He tells the story of the violance in this area before and after the mural was unveiled. From the message he has noticed a decrease of violance in this area.
